New building window clean in Glasgow

Another new building window clean successfully completed!

Edinburghclean.co.uk was recently involved in window cleaning the windows on a building in the greater Glasgow area. As you can see from the photographs there were a lot of windows to clean. What may not be so obvious is the condition of the windows.

This job was particularly challenging because there was render and mortar spattered over the glass. Unless great care was taken the mortar and cement could very easily scratch the window as we tried to remove it. This is because there is grit in the mortar which makes it abrasive. Not a good combination when it is on glass!

This is a major problem we regularly come across. At Edinburghclean.co.uk we are often asked to do a new building clean which is the first window clean a building gets after the contractors have left the site. Fortunately, all the operatives that we employ are highly skilled and trained to deal with this kind of issue. This job was also problematic because the windows could only be accessed via a courtyard area. As a result, we needed to use a hydraulic platform (cherry picker). In these situations, we will often visit the site and make an assessment of the most effective way to reach the windows that are at height. In this instance we had to manoeuvre the cherry picker into position first with painstaking accuracy and planning. Again, our team of experts were able to carry out the work with the minimum disruption.
