Historic stone cleaning in the Scottish Highlands must be carried out lovingly and sympathetically. Like all natural materials, stone is susceptible to deterioration and so needs to be cleaned in order to preserve it and ensure it looks its authentic best.

Edinburgh Clean recently carried out historic stone cleaning in the Scottish Highlands on a beautiful old house. As you can see from some of the photographs, we used a small pressure washer with which we were able to remove all the ingrained dirt and moss that had formed on the stone. While this is painstaking work it is the least invasive but most effective method of cleaning the stone. You can make the comparison yourself if you look at the before and after photographs!
