Commercial Window Cleaning Completed on Iconic Glasgow Building

Wherever you go in Glasgow there are beautiful old buildings. Thankfully having been left for years to fall into disrepair many, more recently, have had new life breathed back into them and have been converted into stunning housing developments. This is true of several buildings on Morrison Street where warehouses have been transformed into residential accommodation. Most of these buildings have numerous windows which need to be cleaned. However, being in the city centre with busy roads, parked cars and pedestrians’ access can be a problem.

Edinburgh Clean have worked on various buildings in and around Glasgow as we provide commercial window cleaning. We were recently asked to clean the windows of a housing development on Morrison Street. This presented a challenge accessing the building itself as well as the height of some of the windows. However, with our expertise and experience of window cleaning in Glasgow we were able to overcome this by using access platforms. This, coupled with careful timing resulted in ensuring the streets were clear.

The windows had not been cleaned for over 2 years, which was a reflection of the fact that they were difficult to reach and not every commercial window cleaning company has the equipment or” know how” to clean them. As the windows were so dirty, we used the traditional commercial window cleaning method and took great care to keep replacing the water and cleaning materials regularly so that the dirt was effectively removed from the windows. While this is more time consuming, it is important that this is done because If the water isn’t replaced at regular intervals, the dirty water is put back onto the windows, so they are never clean! For this job alone we used 150L of water!
