Terms and Conditions Overview

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Edinburgh Clean's website and services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

1.1 Service Description

Edinburgh Clean provides professional cleaning services including but not limited to DOFF cleaning, window cleaning, exterior building maintenance, graffiti removal, and commercial cleaning services throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.

1.2 Service Quality

We are committed to providing high-quality cleaning services. All work is carried out by trained professionals using appropriate equipment and methods suitable for the task at hand.

2. Bookings and Quotes

2.1 Quotations

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information provided to us and may be subject to change following a site visit or if the scope of work changes.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once you have accepted our quotation and any required deposit has been received. We will provide written confirmation of your booking via email.

2.3 Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking value.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment by bank transfer, cheque, or cash. Payment terms will be specified in your quotation.

3.2 Payment Schedule

For commercial contracts and larger projects, a deposit may be required. The remaining balance is typically due upon completion of the work unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.

3.3 Late Payment

Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.

4. Access and Site Preparation

4.1 Access Requirements

You must ensure that our team has safe and adequate access to all areas requiring cleaning. This includes providing access to water and electricity supplies where required.

4.2 Site Preparation

You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is clear of obstacles and that any items requiring protection are removed or covered. We will take reasonable care to protect your property but cannot be held responsible for damage to items left in the work area.

5. Health and Safety

5.1 Risk Assessments

We carry out risk assessments for all work and comply with all relevant health and safety legislation. We may need to suspend or postpone work if we identify unsafe conditions.

5.2 Insurance

Edinburgh Clean maintains appropriate public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. Details of our insurance cover are available upon request.

6. Liability

6.1 Our Liability

We accept liability for damage caused by our negligence or breach of contract. However, our liability is limited to the value of the contract for the work in question, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

6.2 Limitations

We are not liable for:

• Pre-existing damage to surfaces or materials that becomes apparent during or after cleaning
• Damage caused by defective materials, poor workmanship by others, or structural defects
• Delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather conditions
• Damage to items left in the work area that should have been removed

7. Complaints and Disputes

7.1 Complaints Procedure

If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us immediately. We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly. If we cannot resolve a complaint to your satisfaction, we will provide information about alternative dispute resolution options.

7.2 Warranty Period

We guarantee our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. If you notice any issues with our work within this period, please contact us and we will assess and remedy any defects free of charge, provided they are due to our workmanship.

8. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Edinburgh Clean and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.

10. Changes to Terms
